Foundations of Excellence® Winter Meeting


The Gardner Institute for Excellence in Undergraduate Education is pleased to host the Sixth Annual Foundations of Excellence Winter Meeting to be held Friday, February 4, 2011 in Atlanta, GA. This meeting will give participants an opportunity to reconnect with other Foundations of Excellence participants and to make new friends in our rapidly growing network which now includes 198 institutions. Current participants will have an opportunity to relay their ideas and experiences, and former participants will be able to share longer term outcomes of the Foundations project and provide helpful counsel to current participants.

Who Should Attend?
The FoE Winter Meeting is open to all former and current participants in Foundations of Excellence as well as those interested in learning more about this self-study and improvement process. We welcome institutional teams; however, each individual should register separately.

$200 per person. The registration fee recovers the costs for providing: meeting room space, presenter a/v equipment, materials, and a continental breakfast, lunch, and food and beverage breaks. The following forms of payment are accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Purchase Order, and Checks.

Refund Policy

Cancellations on or before January 25, 2011 will have the registration fee refunded minus a $25 administrative fee. A written request for refunds is required. Absolutely no refunds will be issued after January 25, 2011. We cannot accept refund requests resulting from cancelled flights and/or "acts of God."

The FoE Winter Meeting will be held at Marriott Atlanta Marquis in Atlanta. The hotel is also the conference venue for the Annual Conference on The First-Year Experience which follows the FoE Winter Meeting.

Room rate: $159 single/double occupancy plus tax; $189 triple occupancy plus tax; $209 quadruple occupancy. $25 per person applies for triple and quadruple occupancy. All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed by a credit card.

Room rates includes wired and wireless internet in guest room.

Conference rate expires January 12, 2011. Specify "National Resource Center/Annual First-Year Experience Conference" when making reservations.
